City Wins Two National Awards for Public Affairs
Bellflower won top honors in one national communications competition, and has been named one of three finalists in another. The City's "Pardi-Gras at Laurel Street" event held last August won the National Award of Excellence, part of the 2005 3CMA Savvy competition in the "Special Events - population up to 100,000" category. The Savvy awards, which drew 700 entries, were presented August 25th in Atlanta.

Additionally, the City's image piece video "Bellflower: Growing Together" has been named a 2005 finalist for the national NATOA competition in the "Promotion of a City" category. The NATOAs, which generated 1,300 entries, will be announced on September 24th in Washington, D.C.
