General Services Finance Department is comprised of six full-time and three part-time employees. The Department is responsible for the financial information system, fiscal planning, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, business license renewals, revenue management, investment, debt management, and Citywide computer networks.

Business License Renewal
(New businesses are processed by Community Development Department) Businesses are licensed and renewed at varying fixed or gross receipts based tax rates. In addition, a processing fee applies to both new and renewing businesses. Many businesses are licensed at an annual tax rate of $151 plus $3 per employee and a processing fee. Residential rental properties are licensed at $12 per available living unit plus the processing fee. The business license tax rates are generally adjusted annually on July 1st based on the increase in the Consumer Price Index.
