Bellflower History Highlighted in Retro Comedy Slide Show

Charles Phoenix performed on August 6th

The Bristol Civic Auditorium neared full capacity for the Charles Phoenix’s Big Retro Southern California Slide Show which highlighted many Bellflower businesses in honor of the City’s 60th anniversary. Phoenix’s comedy slide show performance took a look back at the 1950s-1960s historic Bellflower, famous Southern California landmarks and retro Disneyland.

Charles Phoenix is named the Ambassador of Americana and is a celebrity showman, tour guide, food crafter, and author known for his live comedy slide show performances, eye-popping “test kitchen” videos, fun-filled “field trip” tours, and colorful coffee table books. Phoenix is best known for celebrating all American things classic and kitschy.

In conjunction with the performance, the City of Bellflower partnered with nineteen (19) Bellflower restaurants to offer show-goers a special dining discount (Buy 1 entrée, receive the 2nd of equal or lesser value at 50% off).
