The Economic Development Department has been working with property owners to form a Property-Based Improvement District (P-BID) in Downtown Bellflower and along Bellflower Bl. (south of Artesia Bl.). A successful P-BID attracts more customers to a district and helps local businesses thrive. Property owners manage and fund the P-BID through an annual assessment and also decide how to spend the funds. P-BIDs frequently use them to market the district through promotional events and extra services such as security and cleaning. Successful BIDs include Belmont Shores, Bixby Knolls, and Old Pasadena – which are now well-known destinations for shopping and entertainment.
Economic Development Staff have held several meetings and shared the following documents with property owners of each district. For more information, please contact the Economic Development Department at (562) 804-1424 ext. 2010.
