Potential Sale of the MWS

The Bellflower City Council is considering selling the Bellflower Municipal Water System (MWS) to a private company.  Information regarding the City Council's decision-making process is available below. 

Furthermore, on July 25, 2016, the Bellflower City Council conducted a public hearing and voted to add a ballot measure on the November 8, 2016 Special Municipal Election that will allow voters to determine if the MWS should be sold to California-American Water Company.  For further information about the November 8, 2016 Special Municipal Election and the ballot measure regarding the sale of the Bellflower Municipal Water System, please click here
