GIS

GIS Layer ExamplesGeographical Information Systems, more commonly referred to as GIS, are computer applications that visually display information. This is typically accomplished by placing various layers over one another. Although the fundamental processes can be quite technical, the final products are designed to be intuitively user friendly.

The City of Bellflower has established a GIS for public use (see the link below). Currently, the system displays information pertaining to City boundaries, City Council Districts, parking permit districts, and various infrastructure features; however, City staff is diligently working to make more information available.

Please note that this system has been produced for the convenience of the City and should not be interpreted to replace the official City records which can be viewed at City Hall (16600 Civic Center Drive. Bellflower CA. 90706) during normal business hours. Please address any questions or concerns, with regard to the City’s GIS, to the Planning Division at (562) 804-1424, ext. 2248.
