The City of Bellflower is in the process of updating its Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP). The LHMP identifies the natural risks and manmade hazards within our community. The Plan also provides a list of mitigation action items that can be used to reduce the impacts from these hazards.
Part of the mandated approval process for the LHMP requires the City to share this document with key organizations within the community and solicit comments during the plan writing phase. If you have atime and interest, feel free to review this draft version of the LHMP (attached) and share your comments with Director of Public Safety Joel Hockman by Wednesday, September 28, 2016. If you are not able to provide comments by this date, the City will move forward with the understanding that the public does not have any concerns and is comfortable with the Plan as it is written.
