Bellflower staff will share details about future rail station
Join the City of Bellflower Economic Development Team at Streetfest to learn more about the light-rail train that’s coming to town. The proposed Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) light-rail project, also known as the West Santa Ana Branch Corridor project, is routed to stop at Bellflower Boulevard and the Pacific Electric Right-of-way. The 20-mile line will stretch through many different cities from City of Artesia to Downtown Union Station. Metro is formally initiating environmental studies for the West Santa Ana Branch (WSAB) Transit Corridor serving the cities and communities of Arts District, Little Tokyo, Los Angeles, unincorporated Florence-Graham community of LA County, Vernon, Huntington Park, Bell, Cudahy, South Gate, Downey, Paramount, Bellflower, Cerritos and Artesia.
Public scoping meetings are an important step in the preparation of a Draft Environmental Impact Statement/Environmental Impact Report (EIS/EIR) in accordance with federal/state requirements.
