Celebrate the Sights and Sounds of the Season at the Festive Event for the Whole Family

The City of Bellflower will once again bring holiday cheer to Downtown Bellflower when it hosts the 17th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, December 1st beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The Bellflower community is invited to join in the seasonal celebration at the free family event that will take place in Downtown Bellflower at Friendship Square located at 16615 Bellflower Blvd.

Santa Claus will be making a special appearance for the children and the Mayfair High School Vocal Ensemble will perform a variety of holiday songs.

A holiday skating rink for scooters and skates (children are encouraged to wear a helmet to enter the rink) will be available, along with the Bellflower Recreation In Motion (BRIM) program, and holiday crafts.  This year, four sledding slides that require 100 bales of hay and 30 tons of real snow will be open for children to enjoy at no cost. Coffee and hot cocoa will be provided by Starbucks, along with complimentary peach cobbler donated by Johnny Rebs’ Restaurant and additional refreshments compliments of the 99 Cent Store. The event is free and open to the public.
