Curb Painting Service Begins June 3rd

Care for the Children nonprofit has been permitted by the City

The City of Bellflower has authorized Care For the Children to paint address numbers on all curbs within the City. Care For the Children will provide all materials and labor for the service which estimated to be $15.00 per address.  Since the city does not pay Care For the Children, they will be accepting voluntary donations from residents after the work is completed.

The portion of the proceeds that Care For the Children receives will be used toward their Food Baskets for Seniors Program. Care For the Children provides food to 369 homebound seniors in seven different cities. The City of Bellflower is one of the cities that Care For the Children provides food boxes for homebound senior citizens.

The City of Bellflower has issued a which requires that the numbers be painted in accordance with the City’s specifications: 4-inch black numbers on a white reflective background on the face of the curb.

Donations are voluntary and will be collected between 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Be sure to ask for identification before providing money.
