Calling All Students & Scholars

The Edison Scholars Program was created to recognize the makers of tomorrow – students with big dreams to help power the future. The program awards college scholarships to help fuel your passion for making a difference by studying science, technology, engineering and math. Deadline to apply is December 14, 2020 6:00 pm PST.

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

• Be a high school senior with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent.
live in Southern California Edison’s (SCE) service territory.
• Plan to attend a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S. for the 2021/2022 academic year.
• Plan to enroll in an eligible major in computer and information services, engineering, engineering technology, management information systems, mathematics, natural resources and conservation, or physical sciences.
• Demonstrate financial need.

The Water Replenishment District (WRD) invites K-6th grade students to participate in our Annual Student Art Contest and encourages them to get creative about spreading messages on the importance of Groundwater and Water Conservation. This year's contest theme is called “Water is Life!” and the deadline to enter is Friday, November 6, 2020. Any selected winners who submitted their entries using the online form will be required to send their original artwork to WRD by December 4, 2020 to qualify for their prize.

Topic options include:

#1 Groundwater: The Treasure Beneath Our Feet
#2 Water Nerds are Water Heroes
#3 Saving Water Saves the Planet

To win, your artwork must:

#1 Demonstrate the importance of groundwater and/or water conservation.
#2 Be submitted on 8 1/2" x 11" paper in horizontal orientation by  November 6, 2020 at 11:59pm
#3 Be include parental consent.
