Bellflower honored the community's first responders, public safety personnel, and local citizens for extraordinary acts of heroism and outstanding service at the City of Bellflower’s BRAVO Awards ceremony and luncheon held Thursday, April 27, 2023. The event was held at The Mayne Events Center located atop the Los Angeles County Fire Museum at 16400 Bellflower Blvd.

Matt Iseman,  perhaps best known as the cohost of the four-time Emmy nominated American Ninja Warrior, served as keynote speaker.  On American Ninja Warrior, Iseman blends the macho energy of sports announcer with nice-guy charisma and genuine enthusiasm for the competitors. “I love celebrating people who do exceptional things,” said Iseman, who has served as the show’s lead host since 2010. He also hosted the most recent spinoff, American Ninja Warrior Junior, on Peacock as well as the earlier spinoff, ANW: Ninja vs Ninja on the USA Network. In addition to his work on the American Ninja Warrior franchise, he hosted Live Rescue on A&E following the everyday heroics of First Responders, and makes regular appearances on the Kelly Clarkson Show.
