Serrano Hosts Ribbon-Cutting for Edgeway Mixed-Use Project in Downtown Bellflower

The Bellflower Community has ceremoniously welcomed a new luxury apartment building and premium commercial space with the highly anticipated Edgeway Downtown Bellflower. The new mixed-use project by Serrano Development Group (Serrano) brings new housing and a forthcoming exciting new retail and nightlife venue to Downtown Bellflower. Construction of the residential portion of the development was completed this past summer.

The Edgeway is located between 16411 Bellflower Blvd. and 9735 Oak Street. It replaces a parking lot and demolished retail building along Bellflower Boulevard in the heart of the historic Downtown Bellflower district.

“With immense enthusiasm, the City of Bellflower proudly welcomes Edgeway Downtown Bellflower to our City. This exciting expansion of Downtown's landscape introduces highly sought-after, contemporary housing to our community, providing a vital boost to our Downtown businesses.  This transformative project represents a significant augmentation of the City's housing stock, contributing to the development and diversification of the City’s residential housing.”

The new residential building includes 91 generously sized one- and two-bedroom units that are equipped with in-unit tech and work areas, private balconies overlooking the downtown area, as well as quartz countertops, wood-style flooring, tile backsplashes, and stainless-steel  appliances.  Residents enjoy a lavish amenity package, including a resort-style pool and spa, numerous outdoor living and activity areas, a spacious fitness center, a smartly designed co-working lounge, a handy DIY room, and a welcoming clubroom.

“We are very pleased with how this project turned out,” said Serrano Principal Jason Tolleson. “The Edgeway sets a new standard in apartment living in Downtown Bellflower.  Its wide range of amenities are unique in the market, with a focus on a curated lifestyle of comfort and convenience for its residents.  Once completed, the retail suites will bring new options for dining and services to the                 area, adding to the already vibrant downtown district.”

Along with high-quality residential living, the project also includes approximately 15,000 square feet of commercial space for retail, restaurant, and entertainment uses. The project's commercial component will also include an exterior public plaza, contemporary signage, and a significant public art component to welcome residents, guests, and visitors to Downtown Bellflower. Construction of the retail and plaza space is underway and is slated to be completed in Q2 2024.
