This playground is designed for ages 5-12 years old and is ADA accessible.  New features include a zip slide, climbers , net and rock, inclusive whirl, and an arch swing. City council ribbon cutting Thompson Park

In December 2023, the City hosted a long awaited ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open Bellflower’s newest pocket park, Butterfly Garden Park. The Butterfly Garden Park groundbreaking ceremony was held on October 4, 2022. The City of Bellflower in partnership with California Department of Parks of Recreation and National Park Service have teamed up to create a new pocket park that will convert an abandoned commercial parcel into a sustainable green space.

This park features permeable surfaces, a bioswale, walking path, benches, native plant vegetation that attracts butterflies, interpretative signage, and butterfly-shaped paving. The park is just under one acre and is located on the south side of Alondra Blvd. and west of San Gabriel River (10525 Trabuco St.).
